Fabio Canestri

Fabio Canestri nasce ad Abbadia San Salvatore (Siena) il 29 dicembre 1960. Inizia a dipingere ispirandosi alle teorie di Klee e Kandinsky, per poi seguire impulsi espressionisti e approdare alla sperimentazione psichica surrealista. Parallelamente si dedica alla fotografia e alla scrittura, prediligendo la forma diaristica e la scrittura automatica.
Dopo alcuni corsi di scrittura creativa, intraprende la strada del racconto breve, legando spesso le sue storie a immagini fotografiche. Ha completato una raccolta e sta lavorando ad altre tre opere interconnesse dedicate a ritratti, collage e stampe trans-morfiche.
Ex operaio Enel, oggi in pensione, vive con la moglie, due figli, un cane e — a seconda dei periodi — uno, nessuno o due gatti.
